O disco, gravado com o guitarrista Zeca Loureiro e o baterista Bruno Tessele, conta com participações especiais de Ricardo Herz e Benjamim Taubkin, que assina a produção, junto com João Taubkin.

The singer Juliana Perdigão, a member of the Brazilian bands “Graveola e o Lixo Polifônico”, “Cortando um dobrado” (Ex-Corta Jaca) and also “Quadro na Roda”, where she plays flute and clarinet, launches her first album.
It is a 13 tracks album. The opening song, Perdigonzer, is instrumental and was created by Flavio Henrique. In it, Juliana Perdigão plays bass clarinet, clarinet and flute. There are compositions by Makely Ka (bare wire), Cristiano Viana and Pedro Portella (Mint) and two by Pablo Castro (Casa grande e Arrepio).

Since her childhood, Delia Fischer is the devout of Egberto Gismonti´s albums. The girl grew up and became a renowned pianist, began composing and writing arrangements until one day she decided to sing. In 1999, she managed to work with Egberto. He produced and released the album through his label Antonio Carmo / ECM, which reverberated around the world. Delia always dreamed of revisiting the Egberto Gismonti’s work. And she really did: dressing themes with new arrangements, ordering letters from the greatest lettring artists, stamping with her fingerprint the production of the multi-instrumentalist and composer.

Recorded in Buenos Aires, the album brings ‘milongas’ composed by Vitor Ramil, inspired in books of the Argentinian poet Jorge Luis Borges and to verses of the Brazilian poet João da Cunha Vargas.

Arrangements for voices and 2 guitars: one, nylon string guitar and the other steel-string acoustic guitar.The Argentinean guitarist Carlos Moscardini is the only guest musician and he plays in 11 of 12 tracks. Featuring Caetano Veloso for the song ‘Milonga de los Morenos’.

Recorded live in a studio during the second half of 2005 on the Núcleo Contemporâneo label, the CD ‘América Contemporânea – Um outro centro’ (Contemporary America- Another Center) is the result of the project “Latin Encounter,” which headlined the festival “All the World’s Corners” put on by SESC Pompeia, last year. Brazilian pianist Benjamim Taubkin idealized and performed in this project that united 10 musicians on stage, four of them Brazilian, and six from other Latin-American countries.

The trio – piano, bass, and drums – is one of the most traditional popular musical formations of the 20th century and on Trio & 1 Taubkin enlisted his dream-team of Sérgio Reze (drums), Zeca Assumpção (double bass) and Joatan Nascimento (trumpet) to brings a dynamic Brazilian edge and breathe new life into this format.

Trio+1’s repertory consists of choros, Brazilian songs and original compositions by Benjamin Taubkin and Joatan Nascimento. Using the depth of their shared classical experience, understanding of Brazilian music and the spontaneity thrown up in their own dialog, the results are a sophisticated, Brazilian sound with dynamic arrangements born through the adventure of improvisation.

Produced in partnership with Carlos Eduardo Miranda and Mauricio Tagliari, Nina’s new work led to two solo albums: ‘Azul’ (Blue) and ‘Vermelho’ (Red). Both very ‘Rio de Janeiro’, and emphasizing her various influences. ‘Azul’ is a clean cd, with songs that have her voice as leading character, accompanied by just one or two instruments. The CD features Moreno Veloso and Nelson Jacobina.

‘Vermelho’ (Red), in a different direction of the ‘Azul’ (Blue) CD, is warmer, more noise, improvised, intense, was recorded live, featuring the first song a partnership of the whole band. The song is clearly influenced by the 60’s and 70’s. Nina composed 9 of the 20 songs of both CDs. The other 11 are from friends and contemporary artists.
